The debate of what research methodology to use within my research and how to justify the use of this methodology can only be made by examining what it is that I am researching. Yin (2009) stated that case studies are most suitable in the following situations:
When, how or why questions are being asked.
When the researcher has little control over events.
When the focus is on a contemporary phenomenon
I have chosen to use Case Study methodology as my preferred research methodology as my research question focuses on a phenomenon which is the elearning resource. This in turn will allow me to create a full and complex picture of what acutally occured. Using Evaluative Case Study will further allow me to evaluate the impact (if any) the elearning resource has had on the participants of this research. To support this I will use the following research methods:
Pre & Post Surveys
