eLearning Development Tools

When completing this course one element is to create an elearning resource that can be used in the research project. One of the issues that has arisin for me is the cost of these tools, while it is recommended that we download a 30 day trial I have found this insufficient time for the development phase, therefore it left me with the only option of using Articulate Presenter 09 which is available within the college.

Articulate Presenter 09 is very limiting and there is also the issue of publishing online which can be a problem as this program does not produce a .swf file when you publish your work. It was only with the assistance of one of my classmates Padraig McDonagh whom I am very grateful to that I was able to publish my work.

I would highly recommend that the department within DIT attempt to address this issue so that in the future other students will be able to experience a wide variety of software development programmes, which in turn will enhance their learning.
